Innovations in Peacebuilding International (IPI), has been contributing to the restoration of peace and social cohesion in the province of South Kivu, in the East of the Democratic Republic of the Congo since 2015.
With an aim to assist children formerly associated with armed forces, IPI has initiated the Thierry’s Project to support these children and other vulnerable children through goat rearing. In August 2024, 24 children received goats through Thierry’s Project, funded by IPI.
We invite you to watch this video, which shows how goats were purchased and given to the 24 child beneficiaries. You can truly get a feel for the uplifting mood of the children and their community as they receive their goats, a blessing that brings hope and opportunity to their lives.
